Is it possible if we learn to channel our emotions correctly that we can learn to control our blood pressure?

My dad had nerve problems. I have anxiety problems. He also had High Blood Pressure. I do to. When I ask people who have emotional or stress related problems if they have high blood pressure a big majority of them do. Can this be related? What if we could learn to channel our emotions could we be taken off our meds? Is it possible we just get too excited? Is it possible if we learn to channel our emotions correctly that we can learn to control our blood pressure?
It is absolutely possible.

I can lower my own blood pressure substantially in a few seconds with meditation and breathing techniques.

My husband's blood pressure is a little high and he controls it with the same techniques. The panic or anxiety attacks that he suffered for years have stopped. He has not needed his medication for 2 years.

It is always best to follow your doctor's advice. Please continue with your medications.

But people in the west are all too nervous. Have you noticed that Asian people are usually calm and centered? They do not respond the same as westerners.

Simple meditation can enrich your overall health, happiness, peace, prayer life, well-being and much more. May I suggest you learn to meditate?

Meditation is simply turning off your thoughts. When I do it, I am completely thoughtless. It is as if I do not even exist. I am not thinking at all. I have practiced daily since my youth. But it is something that must be learned.

May I invite you to read Ancient Wisdom 1 %26amp; 2 at http://TaoBarbie.com ?

Do not believe people who tell you that you must see visions or colors, or that you must have dreams in order to meditate correctly. You will mostly see the back of your own eyelids, nothing else.

It is most difficult to train your mind to cease it's inner dialogue of constant thoughts. You have trained it to thinks all your life. Now you want it to stop? Yikes! Your father may have even more difficulty.

If you continue only 2 or 3 minutes a day, and gradually increase to 20 minutes, your life will change. So will your blood pressure. You should see and feel result in 2 weeks after practicing for only 15 minutes per day. Continue every day for months, and then years, and you will have inner peace, certainty, wisdom, and love. People will flock to you for advice, answers, and inner healing. You will look back at this day in disbelief.

Do not get discouraged. I promise you great benefits.

You are welcome to contact me.

Peace.

..Is it possible if we learn to channel our emotions correctly that we can learn to control our blood pressure?
Emotions are only a small part of what adds up to high blood pressure. You need to search the internet or ask your doctor for more info. Don't mess around with this, it's not called the ';silent killer'; for nothiing!
Thanks. It is better to take medicines, as the heart may suffer, i.e. if the doctors advise so, I take medicines, but things are indeed not good, hope so your problems cease but take life easy, no tensions. thanks.
There are medical conditions that affect our blood pressure but stress has to be one of the biggest reasons.

We need to learn to control our anger, and divert our energy into something more positive.

We can't all avoid certain stresses in life, such as debt, but we have to teach ourselves to think positively. We may not be able to do anything about our debt yet, but we can do something about our health.

If the stress is out of your hands, you can't do anything about it, therefore why let it take over our lives?

Medication brings with it lots of side affects. BP tablets can kae you feel tired, make you put on weight and give you other side affects that may make you feel worse about yourself. You are then stuck in a vicious circle.

You can not come straight off these tablets, you need to be weened off them so if you want to come off them, you need to see your doctor and tell them you want to find an alternative way to controlling the blood pressure.

Good luck :-)
The best thing for me was to do meditative breathing as often as I could, even during strees-free situations.

Slow, deep, diaphram expanding (lower ribs moving to the left and right side respectively) inhalations; no perceptible pause, then an equally slow, forceful diaphram relaxing exhaltions; all done with the mouth closed.

It's kinda weird, but it has worked for me.
it is possible however there are other factors that come into play that will make your blood pressure rise. Some times we are our own worst enemy
It seems to be related from what I have noticed too. I had a friend who had dangerously high blood pressure and she researched and found out that potassium could bring it down. She took a ton of it and got it down to normal, hard to beleive but true. She was healthy for years. (She took like 10 - 15 tablets PER MEAL). Its a dedicated diet, but worked for her.
