Is it still under warranty? If so take it to the dealer - they will probably say your warranty is void since you changed the wheels.
You could take it to a specialist auto electrician who may be able to hook into the car's CPU and change the settings for the tire/wheel combination. The service traction control light, tire pressure light, and ABS light turned on. What can i do about it?
It sounds like there are 2 problems.
First, the TPMS valve stems in the new wheel setup are not working right and need to be changed.
Secondly, the symptoms describe a bad electrical connection in the ABS sensors, maybe a broken or disconnected wire.
Someone with some experience needs to sort this out.
if youve got a warentee on it get it checked up for free at the dealership... duh
When you changed wheels did you also change the TPMS valves? If you changed the valves did you use the special GM tool and procedure to re-set the system?
Note the valves can be damaged very easily (aluminum) if you are not very careful.
GM measures the pressure directly so ABS and tire diameter is not an issue.
These lights are ';idiot'; lights and just illuminate when there is an issue with the system they represent
Newer cars have TPMS or (Tire pressure Monitoring system'; there are sensors inside each factory rim that communicate with the computer in the car.The aftermarket wheels won't have these TPMS sesnsors, therefore the light will illuminate.
The ABS (Anti-lock braking system) means that your ABS system may not work properly if at all due to the computer being programmed for a different size tire and the RPM's of the tire do not match with what is programmed. This is the same theory for the traction control, just applied that the traction control may not work properly due to the differing size.
Your speedometer is most likely incorrect due to this as well. You may want to go to your dealer or an authorized mechanic and see if they can reset the computer for the aftermarlet wheels. If so, they should be able to calibrate the system so your speedometer will read correctly as well.
when you took the factory wheels off it threw off the computer system. it thinks there is something wrong with the tires. as far as the abs not sure have the brakes checked just to be sure there is not a problem. check your cars manuel to see if you can reset it yourself. if not maybe a tire shop will do it if not a dealership might have to do it.
