The gas pressure on my gas range is too much. causing too much fire that is hard to control. help..?

how to control the gas pressure to control the flame in cooking? The gas pressure on my gas range is too much. causing too much fire that is hard to control. help..?
Has it worked right in the past, or has the stove just been installed? Perhaps you have the wrong jets for your type of fuel. As others have said the pressure regulator could also be the problem.

Both of these are best left to a professional repairman.

CALL A PRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥?don't mess with gas if u don't know what your doing
pressure regulator?
there is a regulator on your supply. without knowing the setup the only advice i could give is to ask a friend who is handy about the house where it is and to sort it for you. other than that the gas company should sort it for you but they may take their time about it. tell them you can smell gas in the house and when they get there and check your house with a gas detector, and find nothing, tell them about the flow to your cooker. its only a white lie to get a problem solved quicker, not hurting anyone.
