How do you install a shower with 3 shower heads and keep the pressure. Can you have 2 controls? What piping do

At Lowes or Home Depot you can purchase (for about $8) a pressure guage to see how much household pressure that you have. You dont want this to be too much below 70PSI for your application. OK if its more, but typically not good (for longevity of appliances, faucets, etc) to be higher than 85.

A lot of folks installing multiple shower head systems are discovering that there isnt enough pressure to power them. Better to separate them to their own controls so that you can adjust quantity vs pressure. Will cost more to have separate controls, of course.

Best to have plumbing split three ways and have each of the three branches proceed to the control and shower head. This is as opposed to running pipe to one head and extending that same pipe to the next (and so on) so that they are connected in series. Less pressure that way.

Hope this helps. Good luck. How do you install a shower with 3 shower heads and keep the pressure. Can you have 2 controls? What piping do
You can run multiple shower heads, body sprays and hand helds off one diverter, you should run a 3/4'; water supply line for better pressure, but you can use 1/2'; if that is all that is available.Grohe makes a 3/4'; high volume diverter which works the best I have found. You will have to have a shut-off for each of the different items you use. 1-for body spray, 1-for shower head and 1-for hand held shower wand if you use multiple items. Grohe and Kohler have these. How do you install a shower with 3 shower heads and keep the pressure. Can you have 2 controls? What piping do
You should have a control for each shower head. What ever the pressure is delivered to your house by the water company will be divided by the shower heads. Also if you do not have an adequate hot water heater then you will run out of hot water 3 times as fast. Get the largest water heater that you can and set the temp really high unless you have small children who can get scalded when they turn on the hot water at the sink. Use pipe that is consistent with the existing construction of the home. Refrain from using any other water outlets for best results.
