Has anyone switched to the new tablets and are they any better than Beta Blockers in regard to side effects I.E, controlling rashes, swelling of the feet, impudence, etc.?There has been a lot on the news lately about BETA BLOCKERS for controlling blood pressure.?

don't self medicate. beta-blockers could cause your heart to stop, if they are not used correctly. ask your doctor wich beta-blockers he recommends, because there are a lot of different kinds
As a heart patient of 3 years now , over the last few years I have been put on and taken off many medications for Blood presure, etc.. (currently on 4 different ones now)
As with many medication there are different side effects of them all , also many have different reactions to other medications taken too , prescribed and over the counter, some foods ,etc... counter act with medications too. Depending on your own personal heath situation (s) your doctor and you should discuss all of them , the pros and cons .
You need to be totaly honest with your dotor (s) about all your health situations so that they can find the best treatment for you as an individual . Not all people have or experience the same side effects to medications
