How can Obama put so much pressure on Israel? Are the jews finally losing their control over the US?

Before WWII the jews controlled almost all the european economies and the american economy. After the holocaust, jewish control over european economies virtually disappeared, but control over the american economy tightened with jewish immigrants from europe, and with it tightened the jewish grip over american foreign policy.





It has always been the duty of the american president since the formation of Israel to support the zionist movement, militarily, politically, and economically, and very rarely question its actions.





But here I see Obama attacking the Hebrew state, giving it warnings to stop building settlements, and showing it to be a deterrent to peace in the region. He is also trying to befriend the states which Israel is supposed to be at war with, like Iran.





Why is he able to do this in the first place? Is the reason that caused the US to support Israel unconditionally for 60 years no longer existent?How can Obama put so much pressure on Israel? Are the jews finally losing their control over the US?

Even crooks can have a falling out. But, most of this is for show. If obama emboldens muslim nations, then israel has a better excuse to attack those nations.

Just where did you get the idea that prewar Europe was controlled by jews? How ignorant are you?





The various national economies were controlled then as now, by corporate capitalists. That some of them were jews is merely coincidental; the vast majority were supposedly christian.





Israel has been supported by the United States for a number of good reasons. First there is the issue of simple justice, as the zionists who returned bought land in good faith and tried to settle in their ancestral homeland in peace. Look it up, oh ill informed one, and you will see that they bought swamp and desert that nobody wanted and made it flower.





Then there is the simple affinity of one democracy for another. Israel is not an exclusively jewish state. The problem is that those muslims who desire to participate are threatened and attacked by their own extremists, but there are muslims in the Knesset despite the acts of terrorism perpertrated against them. Given that no arab state has ever developed a workable democracy it is natural that we should look to the only one in the region for our hope.





Perhaps you feel that the jews should have allowed themselves to be destroyed in 1967, when the Arabs attacked them, or that they should not have taken the land the attacks were launched from to prevent further such incursions? Given the historical right of nations to retain what is gained by right of conquest, I find you hypocritical to the extreme.





Should the USA then return Texas, New mexico, Arizona and California to the Mexicans? You must think so to advance the rather superfluous arguments you are making.





In fact, Israel returned the Sinai to Egypt when that nation recognized Israel's right to exist. Since other muslim nations still refuse to do so, why should the Israelis even consider it?





Obam is trying to pacify the unpacifiable. He is wasting his time, but feels he must try. Good luck to him. As for you, try reading William Shirer and John Toland. They were eyewitnesses whose histories are trustworthy, and they say you are wrong, wrong, wrong.





So does Winston Churchill. So does John Gunther. They were there as well. You need to use better sources than the Protocals of the Elders of Zion, which is a proven forgery. Read Barbara Tuchman on that.
