If you have high blood pressure anyway but it is controlled by medication can the lack of sleep?

cause it to be elevated? If you have high blood pressure anyway but it is controlled by medication can the lack of sleep?
Probably.

You know how the blood pressure reading is affected by how you sit, whether you move or talk...

Being overtired, or sleep deprived can aggravate more than just frayed nerves. If you have high blood pressure anyway but it is controlled by medication can the lack of sleep?
It is entirely possible. Not getting enough sleep would appear to increase sympathetic nervous system activity (causes high bp) and not sleeping enough over long periods of time has been linked to harder arteries.
