My pulse rate and blood pressure is controlled by medication but ...?

my pulse gets up to 150 in a matter of minutes when i exercise im 24 male and 5'8 and 220 lbs my pulse resting is 65 why does my pulse go so high so quick is this bad??My pulse rate and blood pressure is controlled by medication but ...?
That is fine. You want to stay at 70-80% of your maximum heart rate for 20 minutes or longer (with burst of higher heart rates up to your MHR) to gain cardiovascular health. You are under 80%

MHR=220-ageMy pulse rate and blood pressure is controlled by medication but ...?
How long have you been exercising? Meaning, are you just beginning an exercise program and hadn't exercised in years or are you a seasoned vet? What kind of exercises are you doing that gets your heart rate up so fast?

However, you should try to get you heart rate up, but not quite that high. To calculate your heart rate, you take 220 (constant) minus your age. That equals 196. That is your maximum heart rate (you don't want to go near that). 80% of that 196 is 156. That number is the max you want to stay around for cardiovascular fitness. Of that same 196, you take 60%, and you get 117. Stay around that number for fat burning.

Don't think that you have to get you heart rate really high to see improvement in your body and fitness level. Studies have shown that keeping you heart rate relatively low for a sustained period of time is just as effective if not more effective than high levels in shorter periods of time.

Hope I helped.
it goes up because you are over weight and out of shape. You need to slow down your routine, your heart rate should be sustained around 140 during exercise.
