Dear Friend,

Please monitor/measure BP in the morning and in the evening on daily basis for 4-5 days.

Visit Physician and report your BP data. Based on the diagnosis , Doctor will prescribe medicine.

Please take medicine on regular basis and monitor your BP on regular basis.

Apart from Medication go for 30 min. walk in the morning and do Pranayam for 15 min.

I am High BP patient and I have been following above.
Definitely not by throwing the question in Yahoo! Answers. You ask a doctor, right away.

However, on a more soothing tone I would ask, ';When, who and why did you check the BP?'; BP changes through out the day depending upon your state of activity. Even then the measures you indicated can be termed 'high'. The normal range for your age is 110-120/75-80.

Don't neglect it or wish it away. Consult a physician. He only would know. You may hear that Yoga (Pranayam) and consumption of low salt diet lower BP but this is not a symptom to be taken lightly. Be serious and go to a physician - your family physician will be the best because he would know your body better than others.
Reduce salt and caffeine intake (cut out soft drinks!), better diet, more exercise, lose weight. Ignore the ridiculous new-age answers here.

Blood pressure does vary throughout the day. Try taking your BP at different times. If you're suing the BP monitor machines at your local pharmacy (CVS, Eckerd's, etc) try using a different machine to compare the readings.
u do pranayam.u do acupressure.u do brief walking.do not take tension.morningwalk should b undertaken.try to ease out.lipid profile n blood sugar fasting n pp to be checked.ecg shall also be done.then visit a cardiologist with the test results and ecg reports.

yoga is the only answer to your problem
