My husband & I have high blood pressure & control with meds. Is it safe to go into a hot tub?

We want to be safe in our new hot tub, will the hot water cause our pressure to go up dangerously? My husband %26amp; I have high blood pressure %26amp; control with meds. Is it safe to go into a hot tub?
The only thing that should rise is your temperature and maybe the front of your husbands trunksMy husband %26amp; I have high blood pressure %26amp; control with meds. Is it safe to go into a hot tub?
The cardiologists do caution us about soaking in hot water, but the water shouldn't be that hot in your new hottub! If it is, turn it down so it is just a nice warm!

Enjoy yourselves and it should be a very calming experience.
Just limit yourselves to 10 min. at a time in the tub. If you start feeling dizzy, get out.
you should be alright. if anything, i bet your blood pressure would go down if you are in a hot tub.
Hot tubs are supposed to be relaxing, but I would consult you doctor first before you decide to get in it. I have problems too, and I always get a doctors permission first before I do something I want to do for fun and relaxation.
A hot tub should be OK but saunas are definitely out. On some saunas there are actually warnings to that effect on the door.
